Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

My Review in another Haiku:

Lizzie has spirit
Mr Darcy is too proud
Love overcomes all

I really enjoyed rereading this one. It was a pleasure, but not guilty, I promise! I won this version with the lovely cover from Velvet at vvb32 reads! So I just had to get it on my blog! If you haven't read any of Jane Austen start with this one. And don't forget to watch the movies...the BBC 1995 version is excellent with Colin Firth as Darcy, but my personal favorite is the 2005 version with Kiera Knightley and Mathhew McFadyen. He's just my yummy Darcy! And Lost in Austen is also a treat. Check out my links for reviews!

Isn't this the greatest cover! It's so pretty! Thanks again, Velvet!

  1. I agree with you, this cover is lovely.
My son's girlfriend mentioned to him that she would like this edition. Guess what I am giving her for Christmas? Yep, this book.

  3. I love the cover on this version. So much that I almost bought it. But I already have 2 copies of P&P and it seemed a little ridiculous to spend money on a third copy, especially with the long list of books I have no copies of yet that I want!

  4. Such a pretty cover!I have a weakness for the books with lovely covers and I HAVE to buy them. Sometimes, even without a clue as to how good or bad they are. LOL

  5. This cover is fantastic! If I didn't already own P&P, I would most definitely buy it just for this cover.

    Glad you liked the book!

  6. I LOVE this cover. I may need to get it. Colin is still my main Darcy, but Matthew would certainly do in a pinch ;)
