This week pick your favorite film you've seen this year whether it came out this year or not. I don't know if I can just leave it at one...Hmmm.
Favorite movie in theater this year:
1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 7.2: This was an amazing end to a great series. I was literally blown away both emotionally and visually.
Favorite non-theater movie(s) seen this year:
1. The King's Speech (2010): Heart-warming, funny, smart. I absolutely loved this story.
2. 127 Hours (2010): Though visually a bit graphic, this story really inspired me. It made me think about survival and the will of the human spirit. Amazing.
I loved the last Harry Potter movie! I'm so glad they did the ending justice.
ReplyDeleteI loved HP 2 as well! I want to see the Kings Speech and 127 hours was just fascinating. I particularly enjoyed it because it happened not to far from where I live. Kaye—the road goes ever ever on
ReplyDeleteI loved The King's Speech also, a top class movie. Good choice.
ReplyDeleteI still need to see HP 7.1! I hear both parts are amazing. I also really want to see The King's Speech.

ReplyDeleteYes, oh Harry! I'm going to miss him and the magical gang. I still need to get to a theater to watch it on IMAX soon.
ReplyDeleteI never saw The Kings Speech and missed the last screening of 127 Hours when it was playing at the Philadelphia Film Festival.
I'm going to rent it though.

I'm scared to see 127 Hours. I have read so many accounts of how brutal it is! But here you say it's inspiring, so I may just give it a try.
ReplyDeleteThe King's Speech was so well done!
ReplyDeleteSince I was really in awe of the book - Between A Rock And A Hard Place - I am very interested in seeing the film version. Thanks for reminding me to put 127 Hours on our queue!
